Many people have put together their own free web sites. A site hosting company will place ads on the free web pages, and offer for you to have a free web site as long as you don't mind the advertising. The ads pay for you to have a free site. You can use the tools they may provide to design and create your web pages, or use your own programs and graphic images for your navigation buttons, backgrounds, banners, decorations and other web graphic images.

I'll occasionally place free web site graphics on this page which you are free to use on your personal web site. They are provided as-is but you are free to change them as needed if you have a means of doing so in a graphic editing program. Just right click on the images below shown as 'free' and you may save them to your computer. You may add text to the blank plaques or banner images, blank buttons for navigation, or adding any decoration or text to the background tiling image. Be creative as you like, or use them just as they appear here.

This free image, a blank blue plaque or ' web banner ' area is for the top of your web page /s. You may open it in your graphics program to add text or pictures to the banner. The below free navigation buttons are preset with text so you may use them as-is if you have need of pages with these names. Or, you can save the blank button, open it in your graphics program and add your own text for each navigation button to match the name of each of your web pages that you may need to create.

The below free background image is made for a tiling background which will put the blue bar along the left side of the window, while the rest of the page is white. The width is set to a commonly used monitor setting of 1024 pixels wide, before it will repeat the blue part of the banner on the right. I've forced the size of the image to appear smaller here, but when you save the image it will save as the correct, full size to span the width of the page.

The black border on above image is just to show the shape of the image; the black border will not save as part of the image when you save it on your computer. The below free web images are set in a table to space them apart easily; they have no borders either. These can be used for navigating to the next page of your site or previous page. The arrows without text may be used for the same purpose, or, they could simply be used to point at something on your web page to which you'd like someone to pay particular attention.
